MDA Information Systems LLC is looking for Machine Learning Scientists for our Ann Arbor, MI area location.   These positions provide the opportunity to support MDA’s business in the area of Automatic Target Recognition (ATR), including but not limited to: Classical Methods, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Multi-INT.

We build satellite ground systems that enable users to acquire and process imagery from the most sophisticated Earth-observing satellites in the world:  much of the satellite imagery that you see on Google Maps was generated by our software! Our firm serves a diverse client base including commercial and governmental organizations in agriculture, energy, defense, and civilian government.


Must be a US Citizen and eligible to receive a TS/SCI clearance.

  • Will contribute to a wide variety of projects in this area of ATR utilizing natural language processing, artificial intelligence, data compression, machine learning and search technologies.
  • Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information.
  • Will interface with a team of highly-skilled engineers and scientists to assist and drive innovation in the field of ATR for many applications.






  • Jr. and Mid-level positions: BS or MS degree in EE, Physics, CS or similar field with 0 – 3 years’ experience.
  • Senior level position: PhD degree in EE, Physics, CS or similar field with 5-10 years’ experience.
  • Research/ experience in Algorithms, Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Compilers, Database, Data Mining, Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, Networking, or Systems.
  • Implementation skills with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript.
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Using existing open source libraries such as OpenCV as well as original algorithm development to develop computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms using tools such as Matlab.
