MDA Information Systems LLC is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team in Longmont, CO.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Unix-based operating systems.
  • Build and maintain servers and network infrastructure utilizing VMWare.  
  • Support database infrastructure and user accounts using Oracle.
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with the server hardware, storage, network, and applications
  • Install and administer security controls in compliance with DoD STIG standards. Use STIG-viewer to assess compliance.
  • Build and maintain system backups using Netbackup
  • Support Active Directory environment including account management and group policy
  • Support PKI infrastructure and certificate management and Common Access Control (CAC) cards for authentication
  • Monitor and manage system resource utilization and planning
  • Support configuration management processes and procedures
  • Perform OS and network performance tuning
  • Scan systems for security vulnerabilities using DISA SCAP compliance checker tool
  • Apply approved OS and software upgrades. Apply system patches to address security vulnerabilities (IAVA, IAVM)
  • Attend and support planning meetings
  • Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance
  • Provide customer support including, but not limited to, systems administration for assigned servers, application support and hardware configuration
  • Maintain lab and production systems between test activities
  • Improve processes and document standard operating procedures

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with DoD secret clearance or Public Trust (eligible for a DoD Common Access Card (CAC))
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and
  • Experience with server hardware and Data Center operations
  • Familiarity with SAN Storage, Fiber Channel, and storage architecture
  • Proficiency with IP networking, DNS, DHCP
  • Proficiency with Windows and Active Directory
  • Experience with DoD STIG guidelines and security hardening of OS and applications
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a small team environment
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact in a professional manner with customers
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • VMWare, RedHat, and/or Windows certifications a plus
  • CISSP, SSCP, and/or Security+ a plus
