Radiant Solutions has an immediate opening for a Regional Analyst (Human Geographer) to work in Springfield, VA  or Quantico.

 

To be qualified, you must be a US Citizen and must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI US Security Clearance.

 

The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with the core mission, and will enhance their skill set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues. Responsibilities

General Summary

The Regional Analyst – Human Geographer is responsible for extracting relevant information from open–source and classified information sources to develop geospatial intelligence reports and products for a national agency client.

Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Collecting, maintaining and integrating geospatial data to include human geography data and analysis concerning AOI’s.
  • Creating data from scratch, obtaining classified and open raw sources and using GIS in order to integrate these raw data sources into new datasets.

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Cartographic and Geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats.
  • Acquire, manage, and make available all geospatial derived data and raw data sources obtained for assigned area.
  • Work with human geographers in creating country assessments.
  • Work on projects that range from local studies to regional trends and will work at a range of geographical scales.
  • Knowledge and experience with cross-platform, commercial and government exploitation tools such as ArcMap, ERDAS IMAGINE, Google Earth, Arc Catalog.
  • Demonstrated MS Word, PowerPoint, and graphic design skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer support skills.
  • Collaborating effectively with regional analysts, geospatial analysts, imagery analysts, military officers, cartographers, intelligence analysts, engineers, technicians, managers, vendors, or other customers.
  • Knowledge gained through cartographic experience, regional accounts, imagery tasks, program management, or geospatial tasks.

Education and Experience

  • Senior: 10+ years' relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training
  • Journeyman: 3+ years' relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training
  • Bachelor's degree in related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience
  • Master's degree in related field can be included for an additional two years of experience
  • Experience with human terrain analysis
