Radiant Solutions is seeking an Entry-Level Operational Meteorologist to be a part of our Weather Services division. The Operational Meteorologist reports to the Weather Operations Manager and is part of a team of meteorologists. This position requires a highly-motivated individual who can work overnight and weekend shifts to produce results in a fast-paced, real-time, client-driven environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide continuously updated weather information to commodity sensitive and risk management focused clients for the purpose of managing the impact of weather on client businesses
  • Contribute forecast ideas ranging from real-time to seasonal outlooks
  • Conduct basic or applied research in meteorology
  • Leverage creative thinking and innovative ideas to meet client needs
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Respond promptly to customer needs



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Meteorology or related field
  • Strong forecasting skills with the ability to demonstrate accuracy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to use time efficiently to prioritize, manage competing demands, and plan work activities to meet client-driven deadlines
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced team setting
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Publisher, Word), with preference given to those with VBA skills
